23 Sunday, October 23: Local Tour:  A Trip to Phoenix Mountain [Feng Huang Shan]

We are offering our first-ever tour outside of the Special Economic Zone!

Place: Phoenix Mountain Scenic Area, Fuyong Town, Bao'An

Price: 150 Yuan (includes snacks and lunch) PLEASE NOTE: We have kept the price as low as possible; for this reason, there will be no discount for members of The Laughing Buddha.

We will meet at Shi Jie Zhi Chuang Metro Station, at the top of Exit A at 10 a.m., and then travel by private bus to Bao'An. (Snacks and bottled water will be available free on the bus.)

First stop: WenChang Tower at the foot of the hill.

Then we motor up the mountain to Feng Huang Miao (Phoenix Mountain Temple). There are numerous grottoes and hiking paths on the mountain, in addition to the main temple. Plenty of time will be allowed for exploring.

We will eat lunch at the temple's restaurant.

Leaving Phoenix Mountain, we will travel to nearby Long Wang Miao (Dragon King Temple).

After we finish visiting there, we will return to Shi Jie Zhi Chuang Metro Station at approximately 4 p.m.

NOTES:

  1. Itinerary is subject to change due to reasons beyond our control.

  2. Because we are leaving the Special Economic Zone, be sure to bring a passport or other documents that may be necessary for crossing the border.

  3. This trip will require a minimum of 10 participants. If we fall short, the trip may be cancelled.

  4. You MUST reserve by 12 noon on Friday, so that we can reserve the bus. Call James at 136 5231 9985 to reserve.
