November 6: Photography
Class: Litchi
Park, 2-5 p.m. (Fee: LB Members 20 yuan/Non-members 30 yuan)
This class will have two purposes: First, to help our friends learn
to talk about their cameras in English, using such terms as shutter
speed, aperture, focus, etc. Second, we will be teaching you how to use
your camera more effectively. This time we will concentrate on how to
make a good exposure in tricky lighting situations.
James: has been taking photographs for over 36 years. His
experience includes all phases of photography, including darkroom work,
use of cameras from miniatures to 4"x5" negatives, alternative
processes, use of Polaroid materials for creative effects, and--these
days--digital photography and use of Photoshop. James will also
have some assistants available to help participants.
Bring: your digital camera and a tripod (if you have one).
Directions: We
will meet at the corner of Hongling Road and Shennan Road, in front of
the big picture of Deng Xiao Ping. It's just west of Da Ju Yuan Metro
Station Exit B. The class will start there, and then move into Litchi
Park. Subjects for photographs will include: skyscrapers; the pavilions
in the park; bridges; water; stones; plants; people.

该课有两个目的：第一，学会如何用英语去谈论他们的相机，如快门，光圈，调焦等术语。第二，教您如何更有效的使用您的相机。这次我们将主要学习如何在强光下拍摄出效果更好的相片。
James有36年的拍摄经验，贯穿了摄影的方方面面，包括暗室工作，从微型相机到10cm×12.5cm的相机的使用，选取过程，用偏光材料创造特殊效果，以及近来对数码相机的使用，运用Photoshop等。James将会找来几个助手来帮助参加活动的朋友。
带上您的数码相机和三脚架（如果有的话）。
我们将在红荔路和深南路的交汇处的邓小平画像前集合，在大剧院站B出口向西处。课堂将从那里开始，然后转到荔枝公园。摄影的对象有：摩天大楼，公园里的亭子，桥，水，石头，植物，人等。
