. The Details * * * * * * * * YOGA Every Sunday in November 1:00 p.m.: YOGA CLASS! This Sunday and every Sunday this month, my girl Lila and our friend Angel have arranged a Yoga class with our good friend Jay Govinda (Johannes Kurki). Here are the details: "Yoga with Jay Govinda" Discover how yoga can improve your health and wellness through "Yoga with Jay Govinda," a one-hour program where Hong Kong-based Finnish yoga expert Jay Govinda (Johannes Kurki) will teach traditional Indian hatha yoga. The class will be held 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Casmana Health & Beauty Salon, 3F World Trade Center, Fuhong Road, Futian near the Shanghai Hotel. Class is limited to 12 people only, so sign up with the Laughing Buddha now! Fee: RMB150 for three lessons in November. More about Jay Govinda Jay Govinda has been teaching hatha yoga for 10 years. He studied yoga in India with many great masters and lived there for six years prior to coming to Hong Kong. Aside from teaching yoga, Jay Govinda also conducts tours to India's many amazing places. This is the tastiest Indian food Lila and I have had in Shenzhen, but it's a little expensive...usually. Here's the good news: tonight's buffet is only 75 yuan! They're hoping that "this will become an important fixture on Shenzhen's social calendar" to build "a prominent, close-knit international community..." I went last Wednesday and had a great time with old friends and new. Although I can't usually make it at 7, I will often be popping in around 8:15 or 8:30. We will meet at 3 p.m. on the sidewalk of Hong Li Road, across from the gate of Lian Hua Shan (Lotus Mountain) Park. This is between the Children's Palace and the Library complex; you can take subway Line 4 (the north-south one) to Shao Nian Gong Station (the northern end of the line). After visiting the Library and bookstore, we will have some tea or coffee and chat. We should be finished by 5 or 5:30. * * * * * * * * 26 Sunday, November 26, 4 p.m.: Thanksgiving/Holiday Dinner; Polo Restaurant In the spirit of the holidays, The Laughing Buddha’s friends will gather for a delicious home-style meal and a chance to give thanks for the good things we have received this year. This is our second annual dinner. Last year we had around 25 people from eight countries joining to give thanks for the good things in our lives. As we did last year, we are suggesting that everyone "dress up" a little to give the event that special feeling.
